Andrej Ferko is an associate professor at Comenius University in Bratislava, he served as Computer Graphics visiting professor at TU Graz (2001-2004). Born in 1955, he graduated with honors at Comenius University in 1981 with a Dipl.-Math. (Numerical Analysis), RNDr. (Approximation and Numeric Methods), PhD. in 1990 (Integrated Circuit Design), and habilitation (Computer Science) in 2005. His career is closely related with teaching, writing books, and the organization of the Spring Conference on Computer Graphics (1984-2010) and Central European Seminar on Computer Graphics (1997-2010). Andrej Ferko so far supervised more than 100 research, diploma, and PhD. projects, co-authored about 150 papers and books (including some fiction ones). He is the Slovak representative for O-membership in ISO standardization (JTC1/SC 24 Computer Graphics and Image Processing). Currently he serves in several program commitees and he was a co-chair (with Prof. David Arnold, UK) for Cultural Heritage Papers at EG 2007.
